COMMON GROUND
+ COMMON SENSE
Expect more from your senator.
For far too long we have witnessed the destructive politics of hate, fear, and division in all its forms on every front. Our democracy is battered. Our country is weakened. It’s up to us to stop the destruction. For my part, I promise to focus on leading and healing – not spreading hate or sowing division. And as your senator, I pledge to work tirelessly to bring people together, to find common ground, to use common sense, and to focus on the things that really matter – helping the people of my district.

Common Ground
Finding Common Ground is my commitment to listen, ask questions, and work together toward mutual understanding, agreement, and trust. We have so much in common already. We can’t afford to let those things that seem to divide us keep us from doing right by our families, our communities, and our future.
Common Sense
Common sense is a rural value. Most of us make common sense decisions every day. It seems obvious but all too often, our elected leaders don’t try to find common ground, don’t focus on common sense solutions, and ultimately, don’t get their job done. For too many politicians, hanging on to extreme positions and hostilities is more important than completing the peoples’ business. You should expect more. You should expect me, as your senator, to do the work by making smart common sense decisions to benefit the people I serve.

Focus On What Matters
Our slice of rural Minnesota is knitted together with close communities, lakes, and farms. Our people expect their elected representatives to do everything possible to keep our communities safe and healthy, our waters clean, and our family farms prosperous. In a world that doesn’t seem to make much sense, you should expect me, as your senator, to focus on what really matters. The job description is clear. I’m here to serve the people of the district – all the people.
This is the transcript of the Kari for MN Senate radio advertisement that is running on local radio stations.
I’m Kari Dorry, and I’m running for State Senate. I decided I had to run of office because I know in my heart, we can do better, by actually working together, to find the common ground it takes to support our rural communities. Education, Healthcare, Childcare, Housing, Supporting Family Farmers, and Women’s Rights are very important issues, and I’m committed to be that voice of reason for all of us. I’m Kari Dorry and I’m asking for your vote. Paid for the by the Kari for MN Senate committee.
